1. โ๏ธ Pickaxe System Overview
In Keep on Mining! - Worlds, your pickaxe is more than a cosmetic choice. Each pickaxe comes with a unique Equip Bonus โ a passive modifier that applies for the entire session while that pickaxe is equipped. Unlike the skill tree which compounds across all sessions permanently, equip bonuses are session-scoped and interact dynamically with the talent cards you draft and shop items you purchase.
Pickaxes are crafted using a combination of bars and world-specific ore types. This means progression through the pickaxe tier list is gated by world exploration โ you cannot craft the Dynamo without first unlocking The Sahara, and the Rodon Knight requires materials only found in late-game worlds. The skill tree and pickaxe crafting therefore co-evolve as parallel progression tracks.
There are 6 pickaxes total. Crafting all 6 unlocks the Master Crafter Steam achievement (18% of players globally). The later pickaxes โ especially Nightglass and Rodon Knight โ require significant bar investment, making them endgame milestones in their own right.

Moonwound Steel
Tier 4The Moonwound Steel doubles all gem income in Keep on Mining Worlds. This synergizes with gem-heavy shop upgrades and the Gem Value upgrades in the skill tree.

Tier 5Nightglass is one of the most powerful endgame pickaxes in Keep on Mining Worlds. Its per-rock stacking ore multiplier means long sessions yield exponentially more resources.

Rodon Knight
Tier 6The Rodon Knight increases your equip buff capacity to 7, letting you stack more passive bonuses per session in Keep on Mining Worlds. This is a meta-defining late-game pickaxe.

4. ๐จ Recommended Craft Order
Craft pickaxes in this order for optimal progression through Keep on Mining! - Worlds. Never skip tiers โ each pickaxe provides a meaningful power spike that funds the next craft:
- Dynamo (Tier 2) โ Craft as soon as you unlock The Sahara and collect Desert Amber. The 2.22x ore multiplier is a defining early milestone. Reference: The Sahara world guide.
- Lunara (Tier 3) โ Craft after establishing your Ore Value branch at Level 3+. Use Lunara for overnight AFK sessions to fund the expensive Tier 4 craft requirements.
- Moonwound Steel (Tier 4) โ Craft before entering the Erupting Volcano. Requires 2.5M Rodonate Ore โ start farming Rodonate aggressively from Street Corner and Up in the Air sessions.
- Nightglass (Tier 5) โ Your primary active grinding pickaxe for the entire endgame. Requires 7.5M Rodonate Ore. Use Moonwound Steel AFK sessions to accumulate the craft cost.
- Rodon Knight (Tier 6) โ The final craft and the hardest to obtain. Its 7-slot buff system enables the most powerful combined builds in the game. Cross-reference talent cards to plan which 7 buffs to stack.
5. ๐ Master Crafter Achievement
The Master Crafter achievement (18% of players) requires crafting all 6 pickaxes. The primary bottleneck is the Rodonate Ore requirement for Nightglass (7.5M) and Rodon Knight. Here is the optimal farming strategy:
- Farm Rodonate primarily in Street Corner and Up in the Air. Both worlds have high rock density amplifying Explosion Anomaly chains.
- Equip Lunara during AFK overnight sessions and keep the 3 Mines running with gem upgrades maxed. This generates passive Rodonate income continuously.
- Use the A-Beam Amplify talent card โ converting chunk rocks to full material rocks dramatically increases per-session Rodonate yields.
- Cross-reference Achievements guide to chain Master Crafter with the Bar Baron and Fully Upgraded grinds simultaneously.
