1. ๐ฟ Skill Tree Overview
The skill tree is the permanent progression backbone of Keep on Mining! - Worlds. Unlike shop items which reset every session, skill tree upgrades are permanent โ they apply across every world, every session, and every pickaxe you equip. This makes the order in which you invest bars into the skill tree the single most impactful strategic decision in the game.
There are 200+ individual nodes spread across six primary branches. Each branch serves a distinct role in your overall build: Ore Value and Mining Speed form the active mining core; Explosion Anomaly handles AoE clearing; Gem Value accelerates shop progression; Mine Output powers AFK idle income; and Artifact Spawn Chance enables endgame discovery content.
Bars โ earned by smelting ore โ are the sole currency for skill tree upgrades. The exponential cost scaling means your first five levels in any branch are dramatically cheaper than the final levels. Always push priority branches to at least Level 3 before expanding horizontally.
2. ๐ Optimal Upgrade Order
Follow this sequence for maximum efficiency in Keep on Mining! - Worlds. Deviating from this order is the most common mistake new players make:
Ore Value โ Level 3. Do not invest in any other branch yet.
Mining Speed โ Level 3. Then return to push Ore Value to Level 4.
Explosion Anomaly โ Level 3. Gem Value โ Level 3 in parallel.
Max all primary branches to Level 5 simultaneously.
Mine Output max โ Artifact Spawn Chance max โ remaining nodes.
The logic behind this order is multiplicative compounding. Ore Value multiplies the base income of every ore drop. Mining Speed multiplies the rate of those drops. The product of both grows your bar income exponentially โ which then funds the expensive later branches faster than any other approach.
3. ๐ฐ Ore Value Branch
Ore Value is the highest-priority upgrade branch in the Keep on Mining Worlds skill tree. Every percentage point here compounds with your ore income multiplier. Max this branch before touching anything else.

Explosion Anomaly upgrades are crucial for crowd-clearing in dense worlds. Combined with the Giga Explosion talent card, max-level explosions clear nearly the entire screen. Essential for Street Corner and Volcano.

9. ๐ Endgame: Fully Upgraded Achievement
The Fully Upgraded achievement requires purchasing every single node in the 200+ skill tree. Only 12% of players globally have unlocked it, making it one of the rarest achievements in Keep on Mining! - Worlds. Here is the optimal strategy for the final stretch:
- Equip Nightglass pickaxe โ its per-rock ore multiplier stacks throughout the session, making each hour of grinding exponentially more productive than the last.
- Always draft Steady Gains talent cards โ the per-second ore value increase to +5x cap reaches maximum within 50 seconds in the Erupting Volcano. Run Volcano sessions specifically for endgame bar grinding.
- Max the 3 Mines shop upgrade before the final Artifact Spawn nodes โ the 90,000 bar cost for max Artifact Spawn is best funded through overnight AFK sessions with fully upgraded passive mines.
- Use the Rodon Knight pickaxe for your final sessions. The 7 buff slots allow stacking both the Steady Gains and A-Beam Amplify combinations alongside mine speed buffs simultaneously.
